According to WHO (World Health Organization), lifestyle diseases kill 41 million people each year, equivalent to 71% of all deaths globally. They are diseases that are caused by day-to-day habits. These diseases include heart disease, stroke, diabetes, imbalance of hormone, chronic liver disease, obesity, cold & catarrh, asthma, urinary tract infection, infertility, metabolic syndrome, depression, insomnia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and some types of cancer.

Factors that lead to lifestyle diseases
These diseases do not come like a thief in the night but are slowly created by unhealthy habits which let toxins accumulate in the body thereby blocking body pipes and seizing easy blood flow and oxygen. The factors that contribute to these are:
Behavior
Unhealthy diet
Lack of physical exercise
Behavior: Behavioural factors such as stress, poor environment, working conditions, sedentary lifestyle, smoking, posture, etc. can contribute greatly to lifestyle diseases. If you want to live a healthy life change your behavior from unhealthy choices to healthy choices.
Unhealthy diet: The difference between a newborn baby and 40 years old man isn’t age but the fact that the 40 years old man has accumulated toxins from what he eats and drinks and by no means finds a way to restore his system to default. Today, people consume a lot of meat, alcohol, white bread, candy, processed food, pasta, pastries and baked food, carbonated drinks (also known as soft drinks), consume excess sugar, salt & magi, which are poisonous to human health. The only safe way of eating to prevent diseases is to eat healthy food. Healthy foods are foods that are found or reared in the natural environment and have not been altered by today’s manufacturing processes. These foods include organic fruits and vegetables, almonds, hazelnuts, beans, brown rice, wheat bread, soy, sweet potatoes, pumpkin seed, olive oil, seafood, catfish, and Titus fish. Herb & Spies such as black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic, ginger, thyme, sage, nutmeg, turmeric, mustard seed, coriander, celery seed, and millet. If you want to live a healthy life free of diseases you will need to start eating organic food. Organic food is filled with nutrients that our body needs in order to function properly. Once our body gets used to eating healthy whole foods, cravings for unhealthy food will decrease.
Lack of physical exercise: Physical exercise may help us flush out bacteria from the lungs and airways. An inactive lifestyle with too much sitting and sleeping is detrimental to both your mental and physical health. The body is designed to move, failure to constantly move might signal to the brain that the body is dead, then it starts to shut down all other parts of the body.

Is Lifestyle diseases infectious?
Most chronic diseases such as stroke, high blood pressure, obesity, asthma, etc. are not infectious. But diseases such as cold, and urinary tract infection are highly infectious.

Ways to manage lifestyle diseases
In case you are already battling any sort of lifestyle disease, I bring good news. Since our body is a self-healing machine, diseases can be reversed. The power to cure diseases lies within the body itself.
To get rid of accumulated toxins and restore the equilibrium of the system we first need to exclude acid-forming foods from our diet and switch to fresh fruits which will disinfect the stomach and alimentary canal for at least a week. By depriving the body of food for a time the organ of elimination such as the bowels, kidneys, skin, and lungs are allowed to expel the overload of accumulated waste from the system
